I’ve just completed my article for David Noton’s Chasing the Light magazine about my infatuation with East Dartmoor. I think we all feel a sense of belonging and intimacy with the place we live. Over the last 11 years I have cycled and walked over much of Dartmoor, and recently this has led me to explore it photographically.

I describe the landscape of East Dartmoor, its relief and varied topology and habitats and then go on to describe the conditions I love the most to capture such as mist and spring colours to name a few main points.
